Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add more depth to his forward line in January and the club is preparing a €10 million bid for Rijeka’s young striker Andrej Kramaric.
Jose Mourinho thinks that Chelsea are over dependent on Diego Costa this season and wants to sign another striker to have more competition for the Spaniard.
Andrej Kramaric, 23, has caught the attention of host of the Europe’s top clubs, including AC Milan and Chelsea, with his stellar performances in the past two seasons for Croatian side Rijeka and Jose Mourinho believes that he could add a great depth to his squad.
Andrej Kramaric came close to join newly promoted Premier League side Leicester City during the summer but the young striker rejected the move and decided to wait for any major club to make an offer. And it now appears that his patience has paid off as two giants of European football, AC Milan and Chelsea, are set to lock horns for his signature.
Meanwhile, reports coming from England and Croatia have also confirmed the plan of Chelsea to offer 10 millions to Rijeka for Andrej Kramaric. Goal.com has claimed today that Chelsea are set to lodge a €10 million bid for Rijeka hotshot Andrej Kramaric. The Blues sent negotiators to Croatia on Saturday for talks with the player’s father and a Rijeka delegation, including former Aston Villa striker Bosko Balaban.
Andrej Kramaric is in a stunning form this season as he has scored 26 goals in 27 goals for Rijeka in Croatian PRVA HNL. Andrej Kramaric also performed extremely well last season as he managed to get his name on the scoring sheets on 30 occasions.
The young Croatian has now become a key member of Rijeka’s squad and Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho believes that Andrej Kramaric would be a great coup for the club in the winter transfer window.
Chelsea scouts are watching Andrej Kramaric since past one year when he first came to the limelight for his impressive displays for Rijeka in the UEFA Europa League. And now, they believe that the youngster has enough quality to become a deputy of Diego Costa.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will have to beat the competition of AC Milan if they want Andrej Kramaric. AC Milan are not satisfied with the performance levels of Fernando Torres and he is almost certain to join Atletico Madrid in January.
Pippo Inzaghi wants Andrej Kramaric as a replacement of Torres but AC Milan are only interested in a loan move whereas Chelsea is ready to sign him on a permanent basis in a deal worth 10 million euros.
