Chelsea and Man City, both are interested in signing Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony in the winter transfer window.
Striker Wilfried Bony has been a revelation this season as he has become the most important player of high flying Swansea City. Wilfried Bony has scored 8 goals in 19 starts while he also has 2 assists to his name till date for Swansea City.
Impressive displays of Wilfried Bony have caught the attention of table toppers Man City and Chelsea and both the giants are now interested in his services.
Man City and Chelsea, both the clubs are in the market for a quality striker as they have very limited options upfront. Swansea City management is willing to listen to the offers for Wilfried Bony and they believe that they could get the maximum possible returns from the sale of the player in January.
Meanwhile reports coming from England have also confirmed the interested of Man City and Chelsea in the Swansea City striker. The Times has claimed in its report today that Man City are believed to be preparing an offer worth at least £20 million to sign Wilfried Bony and bolster their attacking options when the transfer window opens tomorrow, but could yet face competition from Chelsea for the Swansea City striker.
Man City are currently the frontrunners for the signature of Bony as they are ready to offer 20 million pounds to Swansea City as soon as the window opens up on 1st January.
Man City manager Manuel Pelligrini is desperate to sign a quality goal scorer as the club has become too much dependant on Kun Aguero this season. Man City boss Pelligrini does not want this over dependence on Kun Aguero to hamper the title chances of the club in the second half and has asked the club management to sign Wilfried Bony next month.
Like Man City, Chelsea also have very limited options upfront and they are over dependant on Diego Costa to score on regular basis. Coach Jose Mourinho is keen to sign a quality striker who can become an ideal deputy of Diego Costa.
However, Andrej Kramaric of Rijeka is the first choice of Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho and he will only turn his attention towards Bony if he fails in his attempts to sign the Croatian.
