An Atletico de Kolkata side, stole three points, as Cavin Lobo inspired the visitors to make a remarkable comeback against FC Goa, in a game in which the referee lashed out as many as eight booking.

“Our focus was on the match, and our concentration was on winning. Of course, fighting is not part of a match, but it happens, with the passion surrounding a game. The match was tough but we overcame it and emerged winners.” said Cavin Lobo, whose 84th minute stunner, sealed a win for the visitors.

With this win, Atletico de Kolkata, cement their position as league leaders, amassing 10 points in their four fixtures, still unbeaten in the league.

“Yeah, it’s just been four games and it’s still a long way to go so we shouldn’t be over-confident. But we’ll still try to give our best and play the same.” said Cavin

“It’s a great feeling for me playing in Goa, obviously, and scoring two goals against Goa. The supporters are always there to encourage me, so it was really great.” added Lobo, who is a Dempo product.

Lobo,also became the first Indian to score two goals in the Super League, and the second Indian two score a goal, after Chennaiyin FC’s Balwant Singh.

“Yes I do, it’s given Indian footballers an opportunity to give their best and expose football to others.
