Arsenal FC have announced the arrival of Kim Kallstrom on loan from Spartak Moscow as the midfielder completed his medical at London.
It has been an underwhelming transfer window for the Gunners, which promised so much initially. After being linked with the likes of Draxler, Matuidi and Klose, the Arsenal fans have been surprised with the arrival of Kim Kallstrom on loan at the club. The Swedish international has a lot of experience in the international stage and has been a mainstay at Lyon for many years before joining Spartak Moscow back in 2012.
The Arsenal squad has been recently stretched due to injuries and suspension as they head into a crucial part of the calendar. The Gunners will face a lot of tough matches in February and March and they are facing and they needed some strengthening in the squad after Aaron Ramsey was ruled out from a long period. The Welsh midfielder suffered a setback in the training, while Jack Wilshere has also faced a lot of fitness concerns this season. Add to that Mathieu Flamini will now miss three matches after picking up a red card against Southampton and it is perhaps easy to see why Wenger went in for a short term solution in the midfield. Kallstrom will provide decent back-up to Arsene Wenger in the center of the park.
Latest reports from England suggest that the 31-year-old has passed his medical ahead of his move to the London club. Kallstrom will join on loan from the rest of the season and the fee involved in this is yet to be known. At the moment, Kallstrom seems to be the only new arrival on the deadline day.

“Arsenal is an amazing club with a lot of great players and a coach who has done really well here for a long time. I am so pleased to come here to learn as much as possible. I’m here to do my best for Arsenal and to help out the team, so we can achieve good results for the last part of the season.” – The new signing told the press.
