Arsenal contract rebel Bacary Sagna has reported agreed personal terms with Manchester City and the Abu Dhabi sponsored club is on verge of formally announcing the Frenchman’s capture.

The Guardian has reported today that Manchester City are on the verge of announcing the signing of Bacary Sagna on a free transfer from Arsenal, with the right-back to earn at least £120,000 a week.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was trying to keep Sagna at the Emirates Stadium by offering him a new improved contract but he has received a big setback now. The Frenchman has reportedly agreed a three year deal with Manchester City.

It was reported earlier today by this site that Arsene Wenger has got £49m transfer budget from the club management and now, it is becoming clear that Wenger will have to spend on capturing the services of new right back as well.

Arsene Wenger is said to be interested in Toulouse defender Serge Aurier.

Meanwhile, for Manchester City, free capture of Bacary Sagna comes as a big boost. UEFA has fined City for not following the rules of financial fair play and they only have £49m transfer budget for the summer. Now, apart from Bacary Sagna, City are also close the capture of FC Porto star Fernando.

Yaya Touré wants to be Manchester City’s Zinedine Zidane: Agent

Amidst ongoing controversy over the future of his client, the agent of Yaya Toure has claimed that the midfielder wants to be Zinedine Zidane of Manchester City.

Earlier this week, the Ivory Cost international expressed his unhappiness at the Etihad Stadium through Twitter after his agent Dimitry Seluk claimed his client felt underappreciated and disrespected at City.

However, Seluk has taken a U turn from his previous stand now and has said that Yaya would be happy to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Seluk said: “Of course. Like Real Madrid did with (Zinedine) Zidane for example. Zidane played then after that he started working for the club.

“Yaya needs the club in the future. We don’t want any more pounds, not a longer contract, nothing like this, only really attention. More attention [paid] to Yaya and Yaya must feel happy at the club – that’s the main thing.

“I’ll tell you one more time, we don’t need one more pound in the contract.”

“[The manager?] No, nobody. This is the question. If you don’t even congratulate the player or send flowers to his wife or mother – these are just small things.”

With this ongoing controversy, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona emerged as the possible destinations for Toure but after this interview of his agent, it appears that the player will remain at Etihad Stadium for next season.
