Arsenal are interested in signing defensive midfielder in January transfer window and the club is ready to meet the £23.5m buy-out clause of Sevilla star Krychowiak.

Poland international Krychowiak has made an excellent start to the new season for Sevilla as he is arguably the best player of Andalusians so far and his string of impressive performances have not gone unnoticed in Premier League as Arsenal are keen on signing him during the summer transfer window.

Krychowiak moved to Sevilla during the summer transfer window of 2014 from League 1 side Reims and he made the place of defensive midfield his own with his consistent performances.

Meanwhile, reports coming from Spain and England have also confirmed the interest of Arsenal in Krychowiak. The Metro report claims that: “Arsenal are ready to pay Grzegorz Krychowiak’s £23.5million buyout clause in January to bring the Sevilla star to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have been scouting Poland international Krychowiak in recent weeks following a string of impressive performances – and now Arsene Wenger is moving in.”

Krychowiak, 24, has played in all games of Sevilla in La Liga and UEFA Europa League so far, winning man of the match award for 4 times in process, and coach Unai Emery considers him as an indispensable member of his squad.

Sevilla has made an excellent start to their new season under coach Unai Emery as they sit at the 2nd position in La Liga table while they are at the number one position in their Europa League group. Krychowiak is a key player of Sevilla’s starting XI and the management of the club have made it clear earlier that the player is not for sale.

But the interest of Arsenal in Krychowiak is also genuine as coach Arsene Wenger is badly in need of a defensive midfielder.

Arsenal were in the market for a top quality defensive midfielder in summer itself but they failed to sign anybody. However, coach Arsene Wenger has asked the management of Arsenal to sign defensive midfielder when transfer window re-opens in January.

Arsenal have been scouting Poland international Krychowiak since past few weeks following a string of impressive performances – and now Arsene Wenger is moving in. Krychowiak moved to Sevilla for a reported fee of 6 million euros in August 2014 but his price has gone up to 28 million euros now and Arsenal are ready to pay the same.
