Clarence Seedorf has failed to impress AC Milan management in his short spell, and reportedly the Dutchman is going to be replaced by Pippo Inzaghi.

According to the latest reports coming out of Italy and as reported by, AC Milan are set to replace coach Clarence Seedorf with the Dutchman’s former team-mate Filippo Inzaghi. Goal reports that: “The former Netherlands international took over at San Siro in January following the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri and delivered the club to an eighth-placed finish in Serie A. However, he has not done enough to keep his job after the relationship between coach and board deteriorated during his five-month spell.”

AC Milan management is expected to make wholesome changes in the club during this summer, including the coaching staff as they want to ensure at least Champions League finish next season. Seedorf was appointed as the new manager amidst much fanfare but failed to convince the board about his ability to lead such huge club like Milan.

Milan have been looking for Seedorf’s replacement for quite a while though. Europa league winning boss of Sevilla, Unai Emery was their first choice but Rossoneri backed out as the cost involved in it were way too high.

Reports coming out of Italy has said that club authorities, including owners Silvio and Barbara Berlusconi, CEO Adriano Galliani had a final meeting yesterday where they have decided to sack Clarence Seedorf and appoint Pippo Inzaghi as the new boos. Pippo is the current boss of Milan’s Primevera side and knows the club in and out.

Inzaghi spent 11 years of his glorious career at Sa Siro and is a fan favorite. Since his retirement, Pippo was assigned the charge of youth team and the management is satisfied with his work. Board members are expected to announce the decision over new boss this week itself.

AC Milan is passing through turbulent times at the moment and the tasks ahead of Inzaghi are very difficult. Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League, which is in their “DNA”, this season and financial impact of the same is going to be huge.

Complete overhaul of the playing staff is expected in the summer as the likes of Mario Balotelli, Kaka and Mattia de Sciglio are constantly being linked with other clubs.

The situation of Mario Balotelli in particular, is very complicated as the young striker is looking restless at Giuseppe Meazza. Inzaghi will have to make the decision over Super Mario’s future sooner rather than later.

Another decision Pippo will have to take immediately is that of Ricardo Kaka. It is being reported that the Brazilian is set for a MLS move and he reportedly has a meeting with Orlando Pirates yesterday.
