Nemanja Vidic’s agent Rubbishes Manchester United exit rumours

Transfer Round-Up - Manchester United Defender To Stay; Tottenham Hotspurs In Negotiation, Confirms ZagrebAgent of Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has rubbished rumours that the Serbian defender is considering a move away from the English club.

Recent reports suggested that AC Milan are interested in signing the 31-year-old center back and have held talks with his agent. But Silvano Martina, his agent, has dismissed all these claims and has labelled them as ‘pub talk’. He insisted that Vidic is happy at Manchester United and that they haven’t talked with any club regarding a move.

“We are talking with no-one. This is all pub talk.

“This is the first time I heard that news and I don’t know where it came from.

“We’re talking about the captain of Manchester United here, not just any player. Vidic has no problems with United – all the talk is hot air.” – Vidic’s agent told the press.

As Manchester United enters a new era under David Moyes, Vidic look to regain full fitness and play regularly next season after missing out on the first of the last season due to injury. His current contract is set to expire at the end of next season as well, but he is expected to sign an extension soon.

Dinamo Zagreb Confirms Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Croatian duo

Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb has two of the most talented youngsters in Europe in their squad presently. Both Alen Halilovic and Tin Jedvaj are widely considered to be the best Croatian talents to have emerged in recent times and have been scouted by a lot of clubs across Europe. Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Manchester City have all been linked with Halilovic, while Tin Jedvaj has drawn interest from Roma and Arsenal.

Latest reports from Croatia suggest that Tottenham Hotspurs are close to signing both these youngsters and deal is expected to be announced soon. But now Zagreb Director Zdravko Mamic has confirmed that although Tottenham are currently in negotiation, no deal has been agreed yet.

“Discussions and negotiations with Tottenham are still ongoing, but this job is absolutely not done,” Mamic told a specially convened press conference.

“And Tottenham is not the only one interested, but we hope that transfer will be realised and that Tin and Alen will go to Tottenham, but no-one can guarantee that.

“If the business was done, we would say so and if the transfer is completed, they will both stay at Dinamo.

“I can also reveal that there are many clubs after both of them, there is not a club from the top 20 in Europe that didn’t ask us about them.” – Mamic was quoted in press.

Eredivisie top scorer Wilfried Bony on his was to Swansea

LiverpoolWilfried Bony has had a prolific season last time around. The 24-year-old was the top scorer in the Eredivisie – scoring 31 goals in 30 appearances – and was one of the prime reasons behind Vitesse managing to qualify for the Europa league next season. The striker has attracted interest from all over Europe in recent times. His agent has previously confirmed that they have been contacted by English, German and Russian clubs. The 24-year-old, who joined Vitesse from Sparta Prague back in 2011, has been consistent in front of the goal for the past 3-4 seasons now. The striker has scored 69 goals in his last 95 appearances for Vitesse and Sparta Prague. It is this consistency that has attracted interested from big European clubs like Liverpool, Inter, AC Milan, Dortmund, Benfica, Newcastle, West Ham and now Swansea.

Interestingly, Wilfried Bony was on trial at Liverpool back in 2007, as an 18-year-old kid who played for Ivorian club Issia Wazi back then. But he was not offered a contract by the Mersey side club and Liverpool might be left to rue that miss now. His agent, Francis Kacou, has previously revealed that despite interests from England and Russia, Bony wants to play in Italy. But now it seems Swansea City are currently in poll position to sign the Ivorian international.

According to latest reports Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins is about to hold a meeting with Francis Kacou (agent of Wilfried Bony), in order to secure his move to the Liberty Stadium. It is believed that Vitesse will want a transfer fee of around £11million for the 24-year-old. It seems Swansea are desperate to add more fire power upfront as last season they were too dependent on Michu for goals. The signing of Jordi Amat and Jose Canas has been secured all ready, while Jonathan de Guzman’s loan has been successfully extended as well. Bony will be a fine addition to the present squad and can help them in securing their status in the top half of the table next season.
