FC Barcelona have been urged by Thiago Silva’s agent to make a move, Kaka reiterates his desire to stay at Real Madrid, while Toulalan wants to leave.
Jeremy Toulalan wants to leave Malaga, confirms agent
Toulalan’s future, as is the case with most of the big names at Malaga currently, has been up for speculations this summer. The club has recently lost their appeal against UEFA’s decision to ban them from European competitions next season and this meant that most of the star players were ready to leave Malaga. They have already lost their charismatic manager Manuel Pellegrini, Joaquin and Isco this summer and are likely to lose Jeremy Toulalan as well.
The Frenchman has been the focal point of the Malaga midfield since joining them back in 2011, but recently his agent has claimed that Atletico Madrid, Monaco and Rennes are interested in the signing the 29-year-old. Michael Manuello has now released a statement on behalf of his client, expressing Toulalan’s desire to leave the Spanish club. He has also revealed that the Malaga directors have promised to him to cooperate if the opportunity to leave arises for Toulalan.
“Jeremy is on holiday in Monaco and he prefers to keep his distance from the press and has authorised me to declare his desire, wish is to leave Malaga.
“It’s for personal reasons, but above all, the fact that the club’s sporting project has changed direction in the last two years. We hope we will resolve his future this week.
“He [Toulalan] has really enjoyed playing for the Malaga fans and everything the team achieved on the pitch, but during the turbulent period the directors promised him that they would not stand in his way when he wanted to leave.
“Now that moment has come. Jeremy trusts the word of the Malaga directors and we hope we’ll find a solution very soon.” – Manuello, Toulalan’s agent, was quoted in press.
Agent of Thiago Silva has urged Barcelona to make their move
Thiago Silva’s future at PSG has been up for speculations this summer. The Brazilian international, who recently won the Confederations Cup, has been heavily linked with Barcelona for the past two seasons. Last summer he was expected to join them, but the defender arrived at Paris, much to everyone’s surprise. Barcelona’s prime target this summer has been to sign Neymar and one center-back, as they strive to improve their shaky defence – they have already achieved their first objective and are now believed to be in the market for a defender with Thiago Silva featuring at the top of the wish-list.
The 28-year-old has recently said that he will consult Zlatan Ibrahimovic before committing his future to the club. The Brazilian has stated that he is unsettled by the fact that Carlo Ancelotti is set to leave PSG (in order to join Real Madrid), the Italian manager was one of the biggest reason behind him signing for the club in the first place. So report suggested that Ancelotti’s departure to Real Madrid could possibly trigger Silva’s exit, along with few other big names.
Earlier Thiago Silva has revealed in an interview that Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova had asked him to join the Spanish side after PSG’s match against Barcelona in the Champions League. But he insisted that no negotiations have taken place between the two clubs and that it would be difficult decision for him to leave the French club.
“Tito is an excellent coach, and someone I really admire. After the game in the Champions League we had a brief chat and he asked me to go and play for his side.
“There are no negotiations.
“In football you never know what’s going to happen, but I’m happy at PSG, I’m very relaxed there. I speak with the president nearly every day and it’ll be very difficult for me to leave.” – Thiago Silva said.
But now his agent has urged Barcelona to make their move for the Brazilian international if they are interested in signing him. While speaking to radio station RAC1, Paulo Tonietto (his agent) has said –
“It has been said that Tito really wants to sign him and if that’s the case, someone should speak up.
“If someone wants to buy someone, it’s not going to happen while they’re sitting at home watching television.”
It would be interesting to see Barcelona’s reaction to this direct invitation from Silva’s agent. The Catalan giants need to sign at least one big defender this summer, in order to regain their dominance in the Champions League.
Kaka reiterates his desire to stay at Real Madrid
The Brazilian has stated that he would honour his contract with Real Madrid and has expressed his desire to stay at the club. Kaka’s decision might be influenced by the fact that he has a wonderful relationship with the new Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, the same man under whom Kaka rose to prominence and became one of the best players on the planet.
“My intention is to continue at Real Madrid.
“I still have a contract with Real Madrid. There is a new coach and once we’re back at training we will meet and exchange ideas.” – The 31-year-old was quoted in press.
