138. Shillong Lajong Sign T&T World Cupper

The side from Meghalaya has landed the signatures of Cornell Glen for the upcoming season. Cornell Glen featured in the 2006 world cup for Trinidad & Tobago, where he played all the three group matches. Glen has scored 23 goals after donning the national jersey for 66 times. After Carlos Hernandez’ stint with Prayag United, Glen becomes the second World Cupper to ply his trade in the I-League.

139. Lajong extend the contracts of Son and Tiasuke

The Reds have successfully managed to retain and  extend the contracts of their most influential foreign recruits – Minchol Son ( North Korea ) and Tiasuke Matsugae ( Japan ). Voted as player of the year, the north Korean has been a stalwart at the back for the Shillong based club. Tiasuke has been a revelation since his addition to the sqaud, and retaining him will only add to the firepower the club is garnering in the off season.

140. Shylo Malswamtulunga signs for the Lal-Holud

The Prayag United winger has been let go by the club officials, esp after the chit fund scam has hit the Kolkata club hard. East Bengal has acted shrewdly and is close to getting the Mizo’s signatures. After Anthony Pereira joined Bagan, the void was still left in the Red and Gold squad, to be filled. Tulunga has already played under Bhowmick at the club in 2003.

141. Vijith Shetty on the brink of joining the Mariners.

The 31 yr old Air India Midfielder is looking for a release from his employees as he hopes  to join the Sabuj-Maroon Brigade on a one year deal. Shetty has been with the Pilots for past seven seasons and has been consistently good. His signing would once again boost the ever increasing squad of teh Kolkata giants as they look to compete in different competitions.

142. Mumbai FC captain extends his contract, others follow.

Haroon Amiri, the Afghan international has extended his contract at the club after a lot of speculations around his future. Amiri committed himself for another season at the Essel Group backed club. Other players who have signed the dotted line include- John Coutinho, Ashutosh Mehta and Jayesh Rane.
