185. IMG – Reliance sign 25 players.

The officials at the much talked about IMG – R league, have managed to rope in as many as 25 players. The list includes some legends like former India Captain Baichung and many India Internationals such as Nabi, Sanju and Gouramangi have also been convinced to sign the dotted line. Here is the full list of all the players.

186. Bhawanipore FC appoint Carlton Chapman as the Head Coach

After missing out narrowly on qualifying for this season’s I-League, the Kolkata based club has taken due actions to get into the top league next season. The primary step being the appointment of former India International and Royal Wahingdoh coach Carlton Chapman at the helm. The club expects Chapman to work his wonders and help Bhawanipore FC to qualify. Chapman returns to Kolkata where he retired as an East Bengal player in 2001. Former JCT player is excited about his new project and looks forward to work with a hardworking and a hungry squad spearheaded by Barreto.

187. Menyongar joins JSW

Liberain playmaker John Menyongar has signed for the garden city team, reports suggest. Menyongar helped United Sikkim and played a pivotal role in making Baichung’s led side to qualify for their inaugural I-League last season. John was then roped in by Shillong Lajong before he was loaned out to Dempo for the latter part of the season. With over hundred pro goals in his kitty, Menyongar hopes to turn a new page in his Indian pro career. His addition to the attacking midfield will sprinkle experience and composure in the mix.

188. Lester to join Mumbai Tigers

With Prayag United struggling to strike a deal with sponsors for the upcoming season, the exodus seems to be imminent. Rumour mills suggest that young Lester Fernandes has signed a deal with new entrants Mumbai Tigers which would see him don the Tigers jrsey for two years. Lester’s journey with Prayag United has been marred with injuries coupled with very less playing time on the pitch. Once touted as the next big thing in indian football, Lester now hopes to bring his derailed career right on track with his new stint in the coastal city.

189. Former JCT player joins Churchill Brothers

Attacking Mid fielder Balwant Singh changed his loyalties with in Goa as he signs a one year deal with I-League Champions Churchill Brothers, leaving behind his Salgaocar days. With Sukhwinder Singh appointed as the TD at the club, former JCT players could very well be part of his plans at the club and Balwant Singh is no exception. Former India International and 27 yr old Balwant Singh could turn out to be very shrewd signing from Sukhi Singh as the non-tiring players’ work rate speaks for itself.
