174.  Hamadallah to be the fourth foreigner for the Mariners

Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamadallah  is all set to sign as the fourth foreigner of Mohun Bagan for the upcoming season. The 22 yr old forward currently plys his trade for  Aalesunds FK. Coach Karim Bencharifa is believed to influence the youngster in joining the Sabuj-Maroon bandwagon.

175. Kannan Rajendran to be roped in Salgaocar

Kerala striker and Santosh trophy star Kannan is considering offers from various I-League clubs but is likely to join the Goan Greens. Salgaocar has been pretty quite in this season’s transfer happenings, but Kannan’s addition to an already young squad will certainly add teeth to the striking and play making department.

176. IMG-Reliance league roping in I-League players

Amidst all the hustle between AIFF and media partners IMG-Reliance regarding which play joins which league, former Mahindra Utd. players join league sponsored by the latter. Sushant Matthew (Mohun Bagan), Sukhwinder Singh (Pune FC) and Md. Rafi (Mumbai Tigers) are believed to sign the dotted line. In addition to that, Lalrinfela ( Mohun Bagan) and Rindham Ghosh ( Prayag United) have also bagged an IMG deal.

177. Climax Lawrence to join Mumbai FC

Former India Captain Climax Lawrence look all set to join the Mumbai side after his contract talks with Dempo did not materialize. The hardworking midfielder is believed to be surplus to what Arthur Papas plans at the Panjim club. Climax would definitely be a worthy addition to the squad, with Khalid Jamil known for getting the best out of the more experienced players.

178. JSW sign another Trio.

JSW, or soon to be known as Bangalore FC, has signed another young trio in an attempy to build a young squad. Gurtej Singh ( Churchill Brothers), Bruno Colaco (Sporting Club de Goa) and Shankar ( HAL), became the first signings under the new coach Westwood. The JSW administration has been signing a lot of young players and with the news of Chettri joining the team from the IT city, JSW could be the team to watch out for next season.

179. The Mariners extend Sabeeth’s contract

CS Sabeeth was signed by Mohun Bagan after his excellent spell at AIFF’s developmental side Pailan Arrows. Sabeeth had a stop start season with the mariners, but he finished the season with 10 goals in his kitty, few of them very crucial. CS Sabeeth has impressed coach Bencharifa since the Moroccan took over the helm and this extension speaks a ton about his role in the upcoming season plans.

180. Sporting Clube de Goa kick off Pre-Season

Sporting Clube de Goa kicked off their pre-season practice at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Tuesday. It was an interesting morning as new innovative training methods was added to the session by Spanish head Coach Oscar Bruzon, such as using tennis balls to improve technique and a rugby ball for quick reactions.

Oscar also continued with the periodisation training system, which he introduced last year after joining the club.

New physiotherapist Brian D’Costa was welcomed to the squad. Brian joins the existing physio Abhinandan Chaterjee in the backroom staff.

 Oscar’s coaching team, which includes technical director Alex Alvares was boosted with the addition of Norbert Gonsalves from Pune FC. Manager Anju Albuerquerque begins his fifteenth season with the club.

On Monday the club had a special mass at Don Bosco, Panjim to welcome the players back for pre-season, which was attended by President Peter Vaz and CEO Victor Fernandes. The Academy players were also present.
