El Shaarawy interests Manchester City

In what can be seen as an audacious bid to capture one of the most promising prospects of the modern game, Manchester City has reportedly set their sights on the Milan striking spearhead – El Shaaraway. It has been reported that due to his ‘dry spell’ this year, he might be looking to move away in order to get his goal-scoring form back.

THT Verdict: An absolute rubbish of a rumour more than anything else. El Shaarawy has shone the brightest in Milan colours this season, in what has been his first fully-fledged season with the first team. It was due to his goals and heroics that Milan managed to stay afloat in the first half of the season. It has become fashionable to link every bright player to Manchester City during almost every transfer window, and this rumour is just a testimony to how far journalists will go to grab headlines.

Juventus to trade Immobile for Ogbonna

Juventus is looking to shore up their defences with the signature of Italy international Ogbonna, who has also attracted the interests of rivals Milan and Napoli.

THT Verdict: The inclusion of Immobile in the deal shows that Juventus might be more than eager to acquire his signature.Torino Immobile has had a good season with Genoa, who holds the other end of the co-ownership deal, scoring 5 goals. While his future will be resolved by the end of June, it looks like he will move to Torino should they agree to this deal and let Ogbonna go to the Italian champions.

Higuain transfer heats up

Almost all the clubs are after Cavani after his stellar year for Napoli. To add more things to the mix, Higuain, who is scheduled to move away from Real Madrid, where he has been since 2007, is being used as a part-player, part-money exchange deal.

THT Verdict: This drama is likely to continue until the end of the transfer window, if early suggestions reveal any indications. First it was Real Madrid who were chasing Cavani, but his €63m clause dissuaded them. Then came Chelsea with a €55m offer, which led Real Madrid to increase their stake and offer Higuain as an exchange. Napoli are unwilling to let Cavani go, having let Lavezzi go to PSG last summer. However, with Napoli holding on to a €63m clause, the possible move might be stretched over all summer and could also include other power players like Manchester City and PSG, or even Monaco!

Bendtner looking for a move away from Arsenal

Nicklas Bendtner is looking for a move away from Arsenal after having to find a place for himself in the starting eleven or even the team.

THT Verdict: Developments, which might not surprise many, suggests that the former Arsenal hitman has been on the run for two years now, spending time at Sunderland and most recently at Juventus in order to get more first-team football. With Arsenal looking to cut their losses with their most recent release of three players, this will be another player that Arsenal will be looking to get off their wage bill once this summer transfer window is over.
