Chelsea FC are interested in signing Bursaspor’s young forward Enes Unal even before he has signed a professional contract with the Turkish club.

Enes Unal is the hottest young talent in Turkey at the moment. The wonder-kid has already scored an astonishing 170 goals in 102 games in the Coca Cola Academy league. Although he is yet to sign a professional contract with the Turkish side Bursaspor, he is already subject of transfer speculations with Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Inter and Borussia Monchengladbach keeping a close eye on his progress at the club.

Necmettin Kocaman, who is head of the youth development for Bursaspor, has revealed that the club has already received an offer from the Chelsea for the youngster, but hopes that Unal will play for the senior team before making a move abroad.

“There have been a number of offers for our youth team players.

Chelsea have made an offer for Enes however, we hope he will play for our senior team before making such a move.” – Kocaman was quoted in Turkish press.

According to reports, Chelsea are willing to offer €2 million to Bursaspor as a compensation fee for the youngster, but the Turkish club is unwilling to sell their best prospect as of now. Hikmet Karaman, manager of Bursaspor, is pushing hard to ensure Unal’s future at the club as he hopes to fast-track him into the first team next season.

Unal’s success story is not limited to domestic youth league. The 15-year-old has already represent Turkish U-16 and U-17 sides and has scored 15 goals in 15 games for his nation. He is also expected to be a major part of the Turkish squad which will take part in the U-20 FIFA World Cup that is scheduled to take place later this year.

Unal’s father has recently come out and told the press that his son is unlikely to leave the club, at least at this point of his career. He said –

“Enes is a footballer of Bursaspor. Bursaspor have been providing him every material benefits, Enes will not go anywhere.” [Sic]

Given the large amount of interest from top clubs across Europe Bursaspor will find it hard to hold onto him longer, especially if he makes his mark in the upcoming U-20 world cup.
