FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves has claimed that Neymar’s arrival at Camp Nou is only a matter of time.
Neymar is perhaps the hottest young talent in Brazil at the moment and one of the most sought after player in the world. It seems only a matter of time before the Brazilian makes a move to European football. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester City have all been linked with the Brazilian international and reports suggest that the 21-year-old will finally leave Santos this summer.
Recently his father claimed that the forward is about to join Barcelona and that his son wouldn’t consider any other options. The Brazilian club were reportedly looking to extend Neymar’s stay for one more season, but seemed have been left with little or no option but to let him. It is believed that Santos has already received bids from Chelsea and a new suitor in Bayern Munich, in addition to Real Madrid’s enquiry few days back.
Spanish media has reported during the last transfer window that Barcelona have already reached an agreement with Santos and have even made an initial payment, but these reports were denied by both the player and the club. But now Barcelona defender Dani Alves has revealed that Neymar is on his way to Camp Nou.
The Brazilian fullback has revealed that Neymar already has a ‘deal’ to join Barcelona in ‘near future’ and he has urged the forward to join the club with any further delay, so that he can improve his game before the 2014 world cup.
“He knows what is happening and the deal that he has which is to come to the club in the near future. If I were him I would come as soon as possible because it would allow him to improve the tactical side of his game before the (2014) World Cup. Apart from that he would be coming to a club that would suit the qualities he has as a player.” – The Barcelona defender was quoted in press.
Neymar’s idol, Pele, has also urged the wonder-boy to choose Barcelona has his next club in the past, but the Brazilian legend also insisted that the youngster shouldn’t move to Europe in a hurry.
Barcelona already boast of having some of the best players in the world in their line-up, including a certain Lionel Messi. Now with Neymar on his way to the Catalan club, defenders across Europe will have sleepless nights think about carnage that Messi and Neymar can cause together on a football pitch, although considering Neymar’s recent performances in Europe with his national side, it is fair to say that the Brazilian is far from being a finished product.
