Moussa Dembele is a player who has been hotly tipped to join one of the bigger clubs for quite some time, and reports in England believe Manchester United could be interested in a deal for the Belgian.

Dembele in action against United

TheHardTackle Verdict – Unlikely. Manchester United are long term admirers of the Fulham midfielder and Sir Alex must have liked what he saw from Dembele in the past weekend. Despite this, striking a deal seems unlikely given the price tag and Fulham’s unwillingness to sell. Tottenham have also said to be interested and after the loss of Modric, they will look to sign a creative player too. As it stands, this deal is a no go and might just be restricted to paper talk.

Javi Martinez has been on the move ever since the transfer window began, but strangely is still contracted to Athletico Madrid. But rumours have intensified over the past few hours, and reports believe the player could be heading to Bayern for a medical.

TheHardTackle Verdict – Very likely. Bayern Munich have tracked the Spaniard for the better half of the summer and now look ready to land their man. With just 3 days left before the window shuts, Bayern will hope to finalise a deal as quickly as possible. The buyout clause has been the stumbling block all along and apparently Bayern have decided to meet the figure quoted ar 40m Euros. This should be done soon.

Reports in both the English and Ukrainian media suggest that Tottenham have had a bid rejected for Shakhtar Donetsk star Willian. The bid was considered too low and didn’t match Shakhtar’s evaluation of the player.

TheHardTackle Verdict – Anything is possible with Tottenham’s transfers after the Modric deal, as they now have the money to spend and would like to add some attacking flair. Willian has previously been linked with a move to London with both Arsenal and Chelsea interested in the past. The player has stated his keenness to move and expects a deal to be stuck before the transfer deadline. Will have to wait and watch this one.

A.C.Milan may have won the race to sign 17 year old  Caen forward Mbaye Niang if reports in Calciomerato are to be believed. Milan have beaten off competition Arsenal, Everton, Man City and a host of other clubs if these reports are to be believed.

TheHardTackle Verdict – Highly likely. A.C.Milan have had a dreadful start to the season losing to newly promoted Sampdoria at the weekend but this piece of business could provide some consolation for the San Siro faithful. Niang has recieved high praise from all across the continent and had attracted major interest from English clubs Arsenal, Man City and Everton, but has finally decided to move to Milan. This could be a steal for Milan if Niang is anywhere close to the hype. At a low price of 2.3 million, this deal just has one winner.

Liverpool’s desires to bolster their forward line may see them bid for Schalke striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar, atleast that’s what some media outlets are reporting. The report also claims Carroll could be off to another Premier League club.

TheHardTackle Verdict – Highly unlikely. Liverpool have made some good moves in the market this summer, with the purchases of Borini, Allen and Sahin. Huntelaar is 29 years old and might cost Liverpool a fortune, thus making this deal highly improbable. The club needs a striker and if Carroll is on his way out, they will most likely get someone to replace him, but the Dutchman doesn’t appear to be the ideal candidate.
