Liverpool are interested in signing Anderlecht youngster and Belgium wonder kid Dennis Praet.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to add to Liverpool’s ever growing pool of talented youngsters this winter by signing Belgium wonder kid Dennis Praet. Belgium football is undergoing a golden period at the moment and a host of Belgium internationals are currently plying their trade in the England; Praet will add to that list if he joins Liverpool.

The 18-year-old attacker is a versatile player who can play on either side of the wing and in the role of a playmaker. His shooting from long range is unbelievable for his young age and he has great burst of pace in him, taking on defenders at will. He has already scored some screamers for his club’s youth team. Praet has walked into the senior team of Anderlecht this season with relative ease and opened his goal scoring account in a Champions League qualifier.

Dennis Praet was signed by Anderlecht from Genk back in 2010. Since then he has been scouted by a lot of big European clubs. In fact Arsenal and Barcelona were interested in him when he was just a 15-year-old kid in Genk’s academy. Chelsea and Liverpool were linked with him last year when Anderlecht extended his contract till 2015.

Anderlecht is said to value Praet at £4million and given the reputation he is building at this age, it looks like a bargain price. The youngster has played for every age group of Belgium national team right from U-15 to presently in U-21. He has already won a Belgium Pro League and Belgium super cup title with Anderlecht.
