With the I-League nearing its end, a host of transfer activities have already started doing the rounds and if rumors are anything to go by, Indian Football is headed for a record-breaking transfer season. TheHardTackle takes a look at the happenings of last couple of weeks  and examines which players are linked to what club and what is the prize money on offer.

Tolgay headed to Bagan

East Bengal goal-scoring machine, Tolgay Özbey is all set to join Mohun Bagan in a deal which could see the Australian earn over Rs. 2 crores, an expensive flat and a sports car. The move looks all but done if the reactions of East Bengal supporters are anything to go by after they booed the Australian on every opportunity that he missed to score for East Bengal in a recent AFC cup match against Arbil FC of Iraq. The supporters even cheered the referee when he booked Tolgay. The striker also got into a reported fight with Gurwinder Singh during East Bengal’s practice on Friday with some sections of the media publishing pictures about the scuffle.

Chettri to change base to Goa

With Bagan all set to retain Odafa and also looking to sign Tolgay, the national team captain may have his days numbered at the Marniers given that he has demanded Rs. 1.5 crores to sign for next season and it is well-known that the Bagan officials are not very happy with his performance this season. It is believed that Churchill have agreed to pay the skipper his amount and Chettri is all set to join the club as he looks to rediscover his touch after a forgetful season.

Prayag set to lose Indian defensive duo

Indian defenders Arnab Mondal and Deepak Mondal are on the radars of East Bengal and Mohun Bagan respectively. East Bengal have offered a deal worth Rs. 75 Lakhs to Arnab while Bagan are trying to lure Deepak.

Odafa’s worth set to swirl upwards

Odafa Okolie has rescued Bagan on numerous occasions this season and Bagan have agreed to Odafa’s staggering demand of Rs. 3.25 crores which will make him the richest player in India in the next season. Bagan connot afford to lose their only consistent performer and have all but agreed to his conditions. The Odafa-Tolgay duo, if materializes will be one to watch out for next season.

East Bengal eye Air-India duo

Sandesh Gadkari and Manandeep Singh are on East Bengal’s radar at the moment after the duo has been among the goals for Air India this season. While Manadeep is expected to cost around Rs. 60 lakhs, Gadkari is reported to have asked for a fee of Rs. 45 Lakhs. The deals could go through if Tolgay departs.

Ranti Martins puts Prayag over Europe

It is believed that Ranti Martins has signed for Prayag United in a deal which will see Ranti get Rs. 1.88 crores along with an expensive flat in South Kolkata and a sports car. Though the Dempo officials have not confirmed that Ranti is leaving the club, Ranti in an interview with Tribune said that he would prefer to play for an Indian club though he has confirmed that he has offers from Irish and Norwegian clubs.

Gouramangi and Subrata valued highly

Prayag United have offered Indian National team defender Gouramangi Singh an offer worth Rs. 1 crore in addition to a sports car and a house in a posh location in Kolkata and it is being rumored that the deal has already gone through. East Bengal have their eyes set on Indian number 1, Subrata Paul to replace ageing Sandeep Nandy and have offered him a deal worth Rs 85-95 Lakhs per season. Meanwhile, Abhra Mandal has reportedly gotten an offer from Pune FC to permanently join them after impressing during his loan spell.

Indian rising stars in demand

A bunch of players from the Indian U-23 team are inviting a lot of interest from the big I-League clubs. Prayag coach Sanjoy Sen reportedly had a talk with Arrows and Indian striker C.S. Sabeeth after the Prayag-Arrows match this week to convince him to play for Prayag next season. Indian winger Lalrandika is on radar of both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan with both clubs willing to offer Dika around Rs. 60-70 Lakhs. Joaquim Abranches is believed to be joining East Bengal from Dempo in a deal worth Rs. 70 lakhs.

Bagan-Churchill fight for Nirmal Chettri

Nirmal Chettri, who has had an impressive season at the right-back position for the Red and Golden brigade is all set to leave them as both Bagan and Churchill have made hefty bids for the youngster. Churchill have reportedly offered Nirmal a staggering Rs. 70 lakhs for the next season as their technical director Subhash Bhowmick is keen on having Nirmal next season. Bagan are also believed to be in race to sign Nirmal.

East Bengal interested in Nigerian defender Alao Fatai Adisa

Nigerian Defender Alao Fatai Adisa, who plies his trade for Yemeni side Al Orouba has generated interest among the East Bengal officials after he impressed coach Trevor Morgan in a recent AFC Cup match held in Kolkata where he also scored from the spot.
