208 Edeh Chidi Signs For East Bengal                                                                                                                    

East Bengal has signed Salgaocar SC’s Nigerian striker Edeh Chidi for a reportedly fee of 90 Lakhs/season after their Australian striker Tolgay Ozbey switched sides and decided to play for East Bengal’s arch rivals Mohun Bagan earlier in the week.

207 Mohun Bagan close in on Dipendu Biswas

Reports coming in from Kolkata suggest that Mohun Bagan is on the verge on signing their former player Dipendu Biswas, who is a free agent now and wants to play his last season with the Mariners before calling it a day.

206 Chhetri To Remain with Bagan 

Sunil Chhetri and Mohun Bagan who were heading for a splitsville until recently seemed to have reached an agreement finally. The Delhi born striker was reportedly asking for 1.25 crore for the upcoming season while Bagan were offering 1 crore. It is believed that both the parties have settled for 1.10 crore and Chhetri will stay put in Bagan for a season at least. Also the striker has added a clause to his contract which will allow him to  tryout for foreign clubs in the middle of the season if he gets any opportunity to do so.

205 Justin Stephen On The Radar Of Both Salgaocar SC And Mumbai FC

Justin Stephen who currently plays for Prayag United has been linked with both Salgaocar SC ans Mumbai FC. The ball is in the player’s court although he is most likely to get playing time with the Mumbai based club rather than with the Goan giants.

THT Verdict: He will definitely move out of Prayag but his destination is still unknown. 


204 Sandip Nandy To Leave East Bengal?

Our sources tell us that Churchill Brothers are interest in signing East Bengal keeper Sandip Nandy. Reportedly Churchill Brother’s chairman Subhash Bhowmick has himself called the East Bengal player and offered him a two year contract worth 70 lakhs. The goalkeeper has also been linked to Prayag United.

THT Verdict: Move to Churchill Brothers is quite possible.


203 Bagan Wants Biswajit Saha

Mohun Bagan has shown interest in yet another former player as this time they are interested in bringing back defender Biswajit Saha from Salgaocar SC.
