With Premier League Soccer getting more and more publicity world wide AIFF and IFA have crossed swords regarding the event. It seems that AIFF has not been impressed by the fact that a private firm organizing PLS is running away with all credit and publicity while the Federation is being ignored in media. AIFF also seems to be cautious about the profile of the companies which invested millions in SPL. IFA on the other hand, is not ready to comply with any of the last minute demands made by AIFF. These two football associations are on the warpath now and the future of PLS could be in doubt. Some sources are predicting a split akin to ICL and IPL which happened in Indian cricket few years back.
