Mohammedan SC defeated BNR 2-1 in a Kolkata football league match yesterday. BNR took the lead through Abu but Mohammedan struck back thanks to a goal from Alfred. Stanley earned the winner via a 74th minute penalty. BNR players and their coach complained about referees decision of giving the penalty. With this victory to KFL becomes even more intriguing. Mohammedan have same number of points as Mohun Bagan after playing equal number of matches. Right now East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan SC as well as Prayag United are fighting for the title. Norman Boardman of Football Federation Australia will be holding a coaching course for youth coaches between 30th January and 5th February. Interested coaches have been asked to submit their names to GFA Secretariat by 24th January.

“Local team Raj Milk FC, Patna, trounced Uttaranchal police 5-0 and the Denzong Boys, Sikkim, defeated R K Steel, Siwan 1-0 to advance to the pre- quarterfinals of the first All India football tournament for Bihar Cup at the Moin-ul-haq stadium today. In the first match of the day, the Denzong Boys took time to settle themselves before scoring the only goal of the match in 48th minute when striker Michan Lucky blasted the goal into the rival net from 30 yards. In the second match, the Raj Milk FC annihilated the Uttaranchal police by a wide margin of five goals to nil after leading 1-0 by the halftime. The Nigerian medios Saydee (1) and Olay (2), Ibrahim (1) and Sujay Dutta scored one, two, one and one goal each for the Patna team. In tomorrow’s fixture, the Bihar Police, Patna will take on the Indian Navy, Mumbai in the last match of the preliminary stage.”
