AIFF seems to have finally solved out the controversy surrounding the funding for the national team’s Dubai training camp. SAI it seems had decided to consider AIFF ‘s proposal to fund the trip. Meanwhile Kushal Das met sports minister Ajay Maken to discuss about India’s proposed bid for U-17 World Cup.
PLS seems to be running into more trouble with the tournament organizers thinking about shifting the event out of Bengal unhappy with the lack of cooperation of Bengal’s sports ministry. Kerala and Maharashtra are being tipped as the likely destinations.IFA has failed to provide venues for the six teams and this has made CMG, the tournament organizers unhappy. This is what Dharamdutt Pandey, CEO of CMG group had to say about all this “We have received offers from these two states and are evaluating them at the moment. They are under consideration, and we are in discussions with them, but it hasn`t been finalised yet.”
National Team Update
The national team is currently training at The Seven’s Stadium,Dubai. The stadium has been thrown open for the fans so that they can watch the team train. Khaleej Times, a leading newspaper from the Emirates, carries a report of the national team training in Dubai.
