AIFF finally gave the green signal to IFA to start the Premier League Soccer in a significant dvelopment on Monday. This is a huge boost to the Bengal football governing body who have faced a lot of trouble recently regarding start of the PLS. Indian footballers will be auctioned on Saturday or Sunday and PLS will be started on the scheduled date of 24th March. Premier League Soccer will now be renamed as “Bengal Premier League Soccer”.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter will be arriving in Delhi on 9th March. Discussions about organizing 2017 U17 FIFA World Cup in India will be one of the major topics on the agenda.
Former Pune FC striker Edmar Figueira is being linked with a move to defending I-League champions Salgaocar, who recently released their 4th foreigner Elijah Junior.
There was some controversy during Aryan Club’s match against Royal Wahingdoh in I-League Second Division. During the match Charles of Aryan was about to yellow carded by the referee but the match commissioner invaded the pitch and prompted the referee to give Charles a red card. Aryan Club is set to launch a complaint with AIFF regarding this incident.

Goa thrashed Rajasthan 12-0 in 34th Sub-Junior National Championship for Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy on Monday. Stanley Braganza scored a double hattrick while Dilbert Fernandes scored a hattrick. Maharashtra won 9-0 Gujarat with a hattrick from Mohammad Anas.
