The much hyped Kolkata Premier League Soccer has run into more trouble with the AIFF suspending the franchises from taking part in the FIFA ‘Transfer Matching System’ as the six teams were not affiliated to the sport’s governing body. Due to this the auction of Indian players which was scheduled to happen yesterday has been put off. With all this confusion PLS faces a race against time to start the event as per scheduled on 24th March with the transfer window to close on 15th of this month. The six PLS franchises had been given access to the TMS, but under generic names and not those which the teams will actually be using and this is what the AIFF is opposing. The AIFF is holding a meeting today to take stock of the situation.
