IFA’s effort to rename clubs in lower divisions and associate them Premier League Soccer took a hit on Saturday as it was learnt that this process involves a lot time and it was not possible to complete the process before scheduled start of PLS. Instead of renaming lower division clubs in Kolkata, IFA is now trying to associate clubs in respective districts with respective franchisees. Under such circumstances clubs in districts are demaning large amounts to be associated with a franchisee. Meanwhile, a meeting has been convened in AIFF headquarters in Delhi on Monday to clear up the situation regarding PLS. As it stands now, the start of PLS still remains shrounded in uncertainity.

Manuel Gomes was not present in the Churchill Brothers bench in their 1-1 draw with HAL. It is being rumoured that his days are numbered with the defending Durand Cup champions. Meanwhile, HAL coach complained that the referee had allowed Churchill Brothers’ equalizing goal to stand despite it being scored after stiputaled injury time was over. reports:
“The FootballLink in association with Football First Sports is organizing ‘Coaches for a change’ seminar on 12th February at India International Centre in Delhi from 6 pm to 8pm.
