HT’: JCT FC 1-0 Churchill :: It’s half time here at Gurgaon. Although Churchill had more possession in the first half, it was the home team, JCT, which took the lead through Balwant Singh in the 35th minute. It will be interesting to see the Churchill coach’s strategy in the second half. JCT has always been a tough nut to crack at home.

5”: Gilbert Olivera scores for Salgaocar. It’s 1-0 at Margaon.

10”: It’s already an entertaining match at the Fatorda Stadium. Salgaocar, being the home team, started with a confident attacking mindset. Chirag looking to hurt them on the quick counters.

20′: Salgaocar scored again in the 14th minute. Karim Bencharifa’s boys are now 2-0 up. Ryuji Sueoka is the scorer this time.

35′: Salgaocar still leading by 2-0. Can Chirag make a come-back here?

80′: GOOAALLL !!! Heart-break for Chirag fans as Salgaocar makes it 4-2 with just 10 minutes to go. Anthony Barbosa is the scorer here.

5′: The match started off at a slow pace, the battle is mainly restricted to the midfield.

15′: GOOOAAALLL. Vive Kerala takes the lead in the 12th minute. Sabeeth is the scorer for the Kerala outfit.

30′: Viva Kerala is dictating the proceedings here and trying to double their lead. Air India is playing aimless football at this moment – a lot of miss passes from the Mumbai boys.

40′: Manjit Singh equalizes for Air India in the 39th minute. It’s 1-1 here at Kohlapur. 5 minutes to go for the half time.

HT: AIR INDIA 1-1 VIVA KERALA :: It’s a 1-1 stalemate at the half time mark.

55′: No more goals. It’s still 1-1.

65′: Air India is seeing a lot of the possession off-late, but they are unable to produce the final ball. There has hardly been any decent goal-scoring moves in the second half.

80′: 10 minutes to go before the final whistle. Can this dead-lock be broken? Both the teams are yet to open their points account and will be content sharing one each today.

17′ : Bagan has enjoyed lion’s share of possession so far, but failed to make it count. Bagan Coach Stanley Rosario hails from Bangalore, HAL’s home-town. He will go all-out for a win today as there is a lot of pressure on him.

21′: GOAAAAALL ! It’s the Bangalore outfit which takes the lead against the run of play. Vijesh Kumar takes advantage of Sangram Mukherjee’s weak clearance & puts HAL ahead. Mohun Bagan are up against it now.

30′: Mohun Bagan is going all out for an equaliser now. They have to be careful about HAL’s counter attacks.

31′: GOAAALLLL ! Mohun Bagan finally equalise. And the man of the moment is Jose Ramirez Barreto, yet again. He dribbled past two HAL stoppers before slotting in the equaliser. Muritala with the assist.

41′: Mohun Bagan is applying incessant pressure on HAL defence currently.

75′: BARRETOOO!!! Sheer bad luck. Barreto’s shot from the left rebounded off the near post. Unlucky Bagan.

80′: HAL SCORES !!!The Bangalore based club is 2-1 up here. Mohun Bagan’s poor form continues. Muralidharan scored with a brilliant header. Can Mohun Bagan make a come back here?

85′: The noisy Kolkata crowd has been completely silenced here. HAL leading 2-1 with just over four minutes remaining.

90′: Muritala should have hanged himself for missing such a golden opportunity to equalize. Barreto fed him inside the HAL box, but Muritala shoot wide from a close range with only goalkeeper to beat. Disappointing for the Green & Maroon faithful ! 4 mins of added time.

FT: Mohun Bagan 1-2 HAL FC :: HAL’s dream run in the league continues. Two wins in two matches for the Bangalore based club. On the other hand Mohun Bagan’s poor form refuses to go. Tough days ahead for Stanley Rozario and his boys. HAL’s M. Muralidharan, who scored the winner, is TheHardTackle’s Man of the Match for this game.

10′: The match is still goal less. This is the clash between two teams who are competing in I-League for the very first time. They are still on a learning curve.

20′: First 20 minutes have gone past. It’s still goalless at the Ambedkars.

30′: AIFF XI is slowly taking over the reigns of the midfield. It’s still goal-less.

40′: Only five minutes to go before the first half comes to an end. No goals scored as of now. AIFF’s Jeje wasted an easy chance in the 37th minute.

Half Time: AIFF XI 0-1 ONGC FC :: GOOOAAALLL !!! Babatunde scored for ONGC. AIFF got the best chance of the match so far, but Jeje Lalpekhlua could not convert it to goal.

60′: AIFF XI pressing hard for an equalizer. No success yet.

70′: ONGC FC holding on to their solitary goal lead. 20 mins remaining.

80′: 10 mins to go for the final whistle. Can AIFF XI bounce back?

1′: And here we go. The big match is on here at Margaon. Here’s the starting 11 for both the teams –

East Bengal: Sandeep, Naoba, Okpara, Gurwinder, Asheem, Sanju, Mehtab, Sushant, Penn, Robin, Tolgey.
Dempo: Kattimani, Debrata, Dias, Noronha, Pixoto, Franco, Carvalho, Kalu, Borges, Cliffton, Ranty.

5′: Both the teams trying to get hold of the midfield battle. A 3-men East Bengal vs 5-men Dempo midfield. No clear cut goal scoring opportunity for any of the teams so far.

10′: East Bengal enjoying early dominance. Mehtab is having a good game. Penn tried to feed Tolgay through on goal in the 8th minute. But Dempo defender Debrata made a timely tackle to deny Tolgay a clear shot at the goal.

15′: Uga Okpara !!! Oh, that was close. Okpara jumps highest to meet a Mehtab Hussain corner, but his strong header kissed the outer side of the cross-bar and went.

25′: And this time it’s Tolgay who hits the cross-bar !!! Dempo defense is in constant pressure here. Sanju Pradhan’s shot was cleared away by Dempo ‘keper Kattimani, but the clearance fell for an unmarked Tolgay, but the Australian’s powerful shot rattled the woodwork once again. Sheer bad luck for East Bengal.

30′: East Bengal putting relentless pressure on Dempo defense. Penn missed an golden chance to put East Bengal ahead.

40′: Still no goals. Dempo are clearly on the back foot here as Mehtab and Penn are dominating the midfield battle.

HT: Dempo SC 0-0 East Bengal :: It’s a goalless first half at the Fatorda, Margaon. East Bengal is clearly the dominating team here and they are unlucky not to register even a single goal as Okpara and Tolgay’s efforts were denied by the woodwork twice. Join us back for a second half which promises to be an entertaining affair.

47′: The second half gets underway at the Fatorda Stadium. East Bengal would look to convert their early dominance into a goal.

50′: GOOOAAAALLLLL !!! Tolgay, you beauty !!! East Bengal 1-0 up.

55′: It was a superb goal by the Australian. He intercepted a Mehtab Hussain pass, dodged past one Dempo defender and rounded off ‘keeper Kattimani to score a brilliant individual goal.

60′: Dempo upped their tempo. Ranty was flagged off-side in the 59th minute.

65′: Tolgay missed a golden chance !!! The East Bengal talisman slammed the ball over the goal post from a close range. He is disappointed; Tolgay knows he could have done better.

70′: Dempo trying hard for the equalizer. Kalu’s shot was easily saved by Sandip. Couple of minutes later, Debrata decided to test Sandip Nandy again from a long range, but the experienced East Bengal goalkeeper collects the ball with ease. East Bengal still leading by one goal.

74′: A surprising substitution by Morgan here. Penn OUT and Ravinder IN.

77′: Substitution for Dempo. Micky Fernandes IN and last match’s scorer Clifton Gonsalves OUT.

80′: Nice sequence of passes between the East Bengal players. Mehtab sent a square pass to Sanju, Sanju in-turn feeds Robin Singh. Robin Singh to Tolgay just outside the Dempo box. Tolgay’s clever back-hill was brilliantly intercepted by Robin on the run and the former TFA graduate unleashes a trademark left footer, but Kattimani was equal to the task and pulled off a good stop.

82′: Dempo got a free-kick around 30 yards out. But Ranty blasted it against the East Bengal wall. Just about 10 minutes to go for the final whistle and Dempo is desparate for an equalizer here.

88′: Nice cross by Kalu in the East Bengal box. But Okpara had closely marked Ranty. No damage done. East Bengal still leading by the Tolgay goal.

90′: 5 mins of injury time added by the assistant referee. Another change for East Bengal. Alvito comes IN, Sushanth Mathew OUT.

90+3′: Another change for East Bengal. Sanju Pradhan OUT – Sunil Kumar Thakur IN.

FT: Dempo SC 0-1 East Bengal :: And here comes the FINAL WHISTLE. The Red & Gold juggernaut rolls on. East Bengal have won the BIG MATCH. It was a splendid performance by the Red & Gold brigade and the score-line might have been 3-0 or 4-0 if luck was on their side.

10′: The match is on at Kohlapur and Pune is attacking straightaway. Irata Azumi made a daunting run down the right side of the pitch, but one of the Mumbai FC defenders made a timely interception to cut his pass intended for Shivalkar.

20′: GOOOAAALLLLL !!! Mumbai FC scored.

30′: Pune FC attacking more and more. But Mumbai defense is playing resolutely.

HT: Mumbai FC 1-0 Pune FC. Mumbai FC is leading by one goal.

60′: Mumbai Fc scored another one here in the 53rd minute. The scoreboard reads Mumbai FC 2-0 Pune FC.

80′: Pune Fc struggling to make any crack on the Mumbai FC defense. Mumbai team still has the two goals lead. 10 mins to go.

FT: Mumbai FC 2-0 Pune FC :: Mumbai FC collects all six points from their first two matches. That’s a dream start for the financially struggling club.

  3. As per the media reports, the I-League live telecast will begin with Bagan vs HAL match tomorrow. Matches are on 24 Ghonta. No confirmation from AIFF yet.
